Open Position: Intern in Berlin

CIFE is looking for a full-time intern (Pflichtpraktikum) in its Berlin office to support the organisation of the EU*Connect digital study programme and the full-time Master programmes.

CIFE (Centre international de formation européenne) is a private institution of higher education and research founded in 1954 unique in its interdisciplinary perspective and its itinerant programmes which promote the principle of "Learning and Living Europe". It is one of the 7 University Institutions of Excellence selected by the European Union as part of the Jean Monnet activities of the Erasmus+ programme.

Internship Conditions

  • Type: Mandatory internship as a part of a university degree programme (Pflichtpraktikum)
  • Contract: three-party agreement between the university, CIFE and the student (convention tripartite)
  • Duration: 4-6 months (or according to the requirements of the university study regulations)
  • Start date: Ideally 1 October 2026
  • Location: Berlin, Germany
    The intern will be expected to come to CIFE offices and Studentendorf Schlachtensee.

Missions

As part of the Berlin team, you will contribute to two complementary areas of activity: the EU*Connect online study programme and CIFE's on-site Master's programmes in Berlin. Your tasks will include:

  • Supporting international students throughout their studies and stay in Berlin;
  • Assisting with the organisation and logistics of academic programmes and online lectures;
  • Supporting the preparation of study visits and accompanying students during programme activities;
  • Providing technical support and updating the digital learning platform;
  • Contributing to the visibility and communication.

Profile

  • You are currently enrolled at a university (preferably related to European studies, political science, international relations, educational science);
  • Your study programme requires the completion of a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum / stage obligatoire);
  • You are organised and enjoy working in an international and intercultural environment;
  • You are willing to work occasionally in the evenings during academic events;
  • You have a good command of digital office and collaboration tools (Microsoft, Sharepoint, Zoom, etc);
  • You have a good command of English (level B2) and basic knowledge of German (level B1). Additional language skills, particularly French, are an asset;
  • You identify with the values promoted by CIFE and are motivated to contribute to its mission.
