Energy Graduation Ceremony in Nice - June 2025
Congratulations to our freshly graduated Policy Officers of the Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance! An exciting year full of events comes to an end for our 18 international Master graduates coming from 14 different countries.
On Friday, they graduated in the presence of their families and friends, who travelled from near and far, and many representatives of the CIFE team. With a stunning view of the coast, the rolling hills of Nice and the peaks of the Southern Alps, they were greeted by CIFE Director General Matthias Waechter, Programme Director Rachel Guyet and Student Service Manager Corinne Della Rocca.
Having got to know them as a group of strongly committed and passionate advocates for their cause, we are sure that they will all contribute with high professionalism and a lot of creativity to the challenges lying ahead of us all in the transition to a clean and just energy.
Our Master graduates spent one academic year, learning and living together in Nice and Berlin. A year packed with meetings and discussions with representatives of the private and public sector in the national and European energy policy. With a week-long study trip to the European energy-related institutions in Brussels, three days in Essen and Bottrop to study the energy transition in the Ruhr region, plus several field excursions to Monaco, the energy self-sufficient village of Feldheim and the coal-producing region of Welzow in Germany, the EDF Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Site in Martigues and the Nuclear Power Plant in Tricastin, to only list some of the major visits.
We wish them all the best for their personal and professional future!
