Graduation Ceremony in Istanbul

On Wednesday 24 June, the students of the MAEIS Mediterranean Studies and the MAEIS European Integration and Global Studies group in Istanbul celebrated the bestowal of their Master degrees.

Families and friends from all over Europe and far beyond joined to congratulate our freshly graduated Policy Officers and to spend the evening on a boat with stunning views of the Bosphorus. The event was even more special, as a dozen “Globals” who graduated a few days ago in Rome, joined the party to celebrate with their classmates.

After the graduates received their diplomas, Hamza Abdelli, Mathilde Chevallier and Yann Sydow of the Mediterranean Master, and Iris Bakhtiari, William Tamenne Hatanaka and Timon Vreven of the Global Studies Master, addressed the audience to reflect upon their study year full of learning and new friendships.

After nine intensive months spent together studying and traveling between Nice, Berlin, Tunis, Rome, Dakar, Banjul and Istanbul it was not easy to say goodbye... We wish our new graduates all the best for their future endeavours!
