Farewell to Our EUDIPLO and EUCULTURE Students

A double graduation took place in Nice last Friday - well done to the students of our Joint Master in EU Trade & Climate Diplomacy (EUDIPLO) and our new Joint Master in European Cultural Governance (EUCULTURE) who were awarded their Master degrees! Surrounded by the love and encouragement of their family and friends, the graduation ceremony was held at the picturesque Hotel Saint Paul in Nice.

In her address, Anna Athanasopoulou, Director Simplification and Networks, European Commission, warmly congratulated the EUDIPLO and EUCULTURE graduates encouraging them to apply  the learnings of their studies in diplomacy and culture – which Director Athanasopoulou defined as veritable “missions”, more than fields of studies. Quoting Jacques Delors’ famous words “You cannot fall in love with the single market” – she stressed the importance of culture as a “superpower” for the European people.

After congratulatory speeches by CIFE Director General Matthias Waechter, the programme directors of both institutions, Luciano Monti representing Luiss School of Government, and Arnaud Leconte of CIFE, the graduates were awarded their well-deserved Master degrees.

A special mention goes to Amira Anastasia Cutajar and Andrea Rodrigues, respectively EUCULTURE and EUDIPLO class representatives, who reminisced their year in Rome, Berlin and Nice in their powerful personal speeches to greet their peers and future EU Policy Officers.

As we bid farewell to all the graduates, we extend our warmest congratulations and wish them the very best in their future endeavours!
