EU Council Summit in Nice: 2-3 December 2025

After two days of intensive negotiating and debates, we're pleased to announce that an agreement was reached at the summit in Nice! On the agenda for this summit was refugee and asylum policy. Despite Poland, Hungary and Slovakia voting against the agreement, it passed with a qualified majority.

This was a great opportunity for our students of the MAEIS Applied European Policy and Governance Studies and MAEIS Mediterranean Studies programmes to put into practice the negotiation techniques they learnt last month.
