This year's first Summer University in Tirana was held in partnership with the EPOKA University, and brought together a group of participants who delved deeper into the subject of Albania's pathway to the European Union, with a focus on the country's cultural heritage. As well as classes, excursions to the port of Durrës, the Onufri Monastery in Berat and the fortress of Kruja were organised.

A week later, the Summer University in Prague in cooperation with the Cevro Institute enabled our record number of nearly 50 participants to learn more about major conflicts in today's world. Guided visits of the Czech capital and the Prague Castle rounded off the week.

Finally at the end of July, the Summer University in Romania was organised together with Nicolae Titulescu University of Bucharest. Classes on the challenges of the modern world, including governance, the environment and artificial intelligence, were taught in French and the participants got to enjoy some of Romania's architectural highlights with visits to the impressive Palace of the Parliament and Bran Castle, home to Dracula.
