The Centre International de formation européenne (CIFE), Crossborder Factory and the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) invite you to take part in the “Appreciate Democracy, Protect Democracy” online interactive seminar that is taking place from 7 to 11th of December 2020.

The seminar is meant for young people aged 18-30 from France, Germany, Croatia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia. This project is supported by the Franco-German Youth Office.

Participants will have a chance to exchange views on the meaning of democracy, opinions on crucial tools and institutions for a better functioning of democracy in Europe, to discuss the biggest challenges for democracy globally but also exchange opinions and experiences with other young Europeans on other related subjects. Participants will also meet experts and officials from different institutions of European Union and Council of Europe.

Seminar will also consist of an interactive workshop on democracy and rule of law where participants will be involved in developing a common understanding of what constitutes an European democracy and then work together on developing different scenarios on the future of European democracy.
