The UN's Scenario Analysis of Climate Risk and Stress-Testing

Climate change is considered to be a major threat to financial stability. This webinar offers an introduction to international initiatives aimed at developing climate risk assessment methodologies. The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative is one of the largest and longest operating global initiatives that seeks to engage the private sector and the global financial sector, as well as encourage the better implementation of sustainability principles at all levels of operations in financial institutions.
The UNEP FI plays a leading role in helping the financial sector develop climate risk assessment methodologies, including scenario analysis. The Network for Greening the Financial Sector gathers the Central Banks and Supervisors to exchange experiences, share best practices, contribute to the development of environment and climate risk management in the financial sector, and to mobilise mainstream finance to support the transition toward a sustainable economy. It plays the world's leading role in climate stress-test methodology development.
The webinar will focus on the developments in scenario analysis and stress testing from these two major global initiatives.
