A Look Back at the Global Alumni Meeting 2021

Last weekend we welcomed CIFE alumni from across Europe and around the world in Nice for the Global CIFE Alumni Meeting 2021.

This year, the event was held in person for the first time since 2019, a great opportunity for everyone to gather after the events of the past 18 months related to the pandemic.

We kicked the weekend off in brilliant sunshine with a guided tour of the Promenade des Anglais and the newly designated UNESCO World Heritage sites, organised by the association Vu Pas Vu.

In the evening, we held a meet and greet buffet for alumni, current students and members of the CIFE team to meet informally.

On the following day, we reconvened for a round table discussion on Europe and the world during and after Covid-19, with contributions from Matthias Waechter, Frédéric Lépine and George Tzogopoulos.

Participants were also free to join the independent TEDxCIFE event “Reconnect”, organised for the second time in Nice.

On Sunday, we organised another visit of Nice’s hidden treasures and finished off with a lunch in the old town, where we tasted some of the local specialities.

We certainly enjoyed being able to see many familiar faces and we’re already looking forward to the next alumni weekend in 2022. We've just launched a poll to find out where you want to go next time so stay tuned!
