On 7-9 October 2022, we held our biggest ever International Alumni Meeting in Brussels. Over 140 former students of CIFE's various Master and short programmes gathered in the European capital for a weekend of catch-ups and networking!
We started the weekend with a presentation and round table on Career Paths in European and International Affairs, with former students giving their insights into pursuing a career in this sought-after sector.
This was followed by a welcome cocktail with an interesting keynote speech given by Despina Spanou, Head of the Cabinet of the Vice-President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas.
On Saturday, we organised a guided tour of the Belgian capital in the morning and presented the new Alumni Mentoring scheme to encourage greater links between current and former students.
In the evening, everyone gathered at Grand Place for an apéritif and dinner, the perfect opportunity to speak to friends old and new!
We finished off the weekend with a gathering at Place Flagey and two walking tours of the European Quarter of Brussels.
It was wonderful to meet up with so many of our alumni on a sunny weekend! We hope to see many more next year in another European city.
