Opening reception at Ballhaus Berlin

Start the weekend with our opening reception at the Ballhaus Berlin! Here where the doors first opened in 1905 for Berlin's dance-mad public of the Belle Epoque, a spiral staircase, stucco walls, table telephones and chandeliers will form a fabulous setting for our aperitif to meet and greet old and new faces of the CIFE Alumni family.
And of course... you're most welcome to dress in style! ;-) There will be an official photographer.

In the presence of members of the CIFE team (Berlin, Nice, Istanbul and Brussels) and invited external lecturers.

Venue: Chausseestraße 102, 10115 Berlin

Tour: The Roaring Twenties

Glitz and glamour, revolution and Reichswehr, avant-garde and absinthe: The Roaring Twenties was the most dazzling decade in Berlin’s history. Inspired by "Babylon Berlin", the most successful German TV series, we take a trip back in time to the 1920s. The bus tour takes us to places where history was made back then. We'll visit places of everyday life, culture and politics. It's also a tour about Marlene Dietrich, Albert Einstein, Josephine Baker and other prominent figures of the 1920s. Our buses are equipped with large monitors on which we show films and pictures from the time. This creates a vivid impression of the past.

Venue: TBC

20.00 - 23.00

Dinner

Our traditional dinner on Saturday takes place in an exceptional setting: Hugo & Notte, a restaurant in the French Cathedral at Gendarmenmarkt.
What better way to acknowledge CIFE's Franco-German background!
In the presence of all CIFE Alumni and CIFE representatives.
Welcome address by Matthias Waechter, Director General of CIFE.
