CIFE is offering a 5 to 6-months-internship* in its Nice-based academic teaching and research centre starting on 9 September 2019. CIFE is a private institution of higher education and research, founded in 1954 with its head office in Nice and branch offices in Berlin, Bruxelles and Istanbul. It receives special funding in the framework of the Jean Monnet Programme of the European Union.

Every year, students from all continents and a great variety of countries enroll in its programmes. In addition to its Master’s programmes in European and international studies, energy transition,  and economic governance and public affairs, CIFE offers a Summer University programme, evening courses, conferences  and publishes an academic quarterly on EU-related topics.

Workspaces and Job Responsibilities
The vacant internship is offered in our public relations department.
Your fields of work would be:

  • Assistance to the general work of Public and Press relations

  • Graphic and editorial assistance in the elaboration of new layouts, print and online

  • Research on content and maintenance of the CIFE and IE-EI websites

  • Assistance with the organisation of a TEDx event

  • Assistance with the organisation of the annuel international Alumni meeting

  • Assistance with the daily social media communication

  • Editing of CIFE's regular Newsletter

  • Assistance in the contact with our students and alumni

  • Editorial work on our print publications, brochures, flyers etc.

  • Creation of information materials for study fairs etc.

  • Creation and maintenance of (direct) mail campaigns

  • Answering to student enquiries on a daily basis

  • Supporting special events such as academic conferences, including publicity and logistical support
     

Competences and skills required

  • Academic background (BA level or higher)

  • The candidate should be enrolled as a student (and have an internship agreement** with his/her university. This is a compulsory requirement.)

  • Strong interest in European integration and International Relations and/or Public Relations

  • Fluency in English and good knowledge of French; German would be a plus

  • Experience with social media networks as well as social media management tools and analytics

  • Skills in graphic design/video editing are a plus

  • Strong initiative, flexibility, autonomy and accuracy in your work habits

  • Team-working skills

  • Cultural sensitivity

The remuneration of the internship refers to the French legal framework (“indemnité de stage”). This corresponds approx. to 530,- € per month.
