Its special natural value and the quality and diversity of its cultural, natural and spiritual heritage combine to make it a truly unique region. Two thirds of Lake Ohrid is located in North Macedonia and is inscribed on the World Heritage List as the "Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Ohrid Region" property. The integrity of this World Heritage property would be greatly enhanced by its extension to the remaining third of Lake Ohrid in Albania.
